MCC Manitoba Scholarship Fund
MCC Manitoba awards three $1,000 scholarships each year to students working toward post-secondary degrees at a Manitoba-based institution whose education and career goals connect to MCC's focus areas: relief, development, peace, climate change mitigation/adaptation, restorative justice or reconciliation.

Who can apply
You must be entering or continuing full-time studies (at least 18 credit hours per academic year) in a degree program at a post-secondary institution based in Manitoba. You should show a history of commitment to service, volunteering and engagement within your community, and you must demonstrate how your education and career goals connect to one or more of MCC's focus areas (relief, development, peace, climate change mitigation/adaptation, restorative justice or reconciliation). Two faculty or teacher references are required. Current MCC staff, and children of MCC staff who qualify for tuition benefits, are not eligible.
How to apply
The funder gives September 30 without a year. We estimate the deadline as September 30, 2026; check the funder's page before applying. Apply through the webform on MCC Manitoba's scholarship page (a paper copy is also available), or submit by email or by mail if you prefer, by September 30. Your application form and a supporting essay (500-750 words) or short video (2-3 minutes) must show both your commitment to service and how your education and career goals connect to MCC's focus areas. You also need two faculty/teacher references, each giving an honest assessment of your skills and interests as they relate to the intent of the scholarship, your relationship with the referee, and the referee's name and address printed on official letterhead. Referees send them directly to scholarships@mccmb.ca as a PDF or Word document, or by mail in a signed and sealed envelope. By applying, you consent to receiving further email and print communications from MCC Manitoba about student opportunities. Scholarships are awarded in October and all applicants are notified of the decision.
