Who can apply
You must be a Canadian citizen, identify as a woman and as Métis, and attend a Canadian or US university full-time, taking at least three courses per semester. The charity defines Métis as self-identifying, distinct from other Aboriginal peoples, of historic verifiable ancestry and accepted by Modern Métis Woman.
How to apply
Email your essay to scholarships@modernmetiswoman.com. Choose one of the three topics on the scholarship page: your definition of a modern Métis woman, how your heritage has affected you personally, or another topic relating to Métis women. The page requests a 1,000–1,500 essay without expressly naming the unit; follow the provider's instructions and confirm the expected length if needed.
